Pedro Branco kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. Gonçalo Henriques fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorge Pinheiro having to interfere. After having played for 14 minutes, Gonçalo Henriques managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Encarnacao FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gonçalo Henriques was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Coimbra in the 16th minute of play forced SC Guerres's goalkeeper Jorge Pinheiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jorge Pinheiro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of José Coimbra's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. If Amadeu Ribeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 24 minutes into the match, Encarnacao FC's Gonçalo Henriques sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jorge Pinheiro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of SC Guerres booed when Encarnacao FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bento Fernandes didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Encarnacao FC's goalkeeper Henrique Soares, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Gonçalo Henriques sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The SC Guerres players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Encarnacao FC were winning 0-1.

Inácio Garcia's late challenge caught a SC Guerres's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Inácio Garcia helped the player get up and apologised. Gonçalo Henriques sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. José Coimbra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorge Pinheiro having to interfere. When Cristóvão Castro fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Encarnacao FC's protests and gave Cristóvão Castro a yellow card for diving instead. The audience held their breath when Cândido Carneiro in the 64th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Henrique Soares's left hand side. Henrique Soares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Afonso Valente in the 65th minute of play. Henrique Soares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Afonso Valente, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Afonso Valente's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Henrique Soares read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. In the 71st minute, Inácio Garcia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Henrique Soares came out of the goal in the 72nd minute to try and stop a shot by SC Guerres's Afonso Valente. But to his dismay, Afonso Valente quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Adelino Fontes kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. In the 77th minute Gonçalo Henriques shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jorge Pinheiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jorge Pinheiro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from José Coimbra went, in the 81st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Amadeu Ribeiro in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Henrique Soares prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With an all-out effort, Encarnacao FC's Jorge Pinheiro threw himself towards the right post 92 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Gonçalo Henriques, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After a rather tough play, Encarnacao FC's Inácio Garcia got a free kick in the 95th minute. In the 95th minute of the match Basílio Neves sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Henrique Soares skillfully saved the ball. The SC Guerres supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Encarnacao FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Encarnacao FC.
