Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Hugo Branco started the match with the kick off. If Emílio Neves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 6 minutes into the game, José Moura was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vaqueira FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Babau FC the free kick. If Adolfo Leiria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Emílio Neves managed to get in a good position for a shot. Babau FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Emílio Neves was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Diogo Henriques breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Babau FC's Adolfo Leiria got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hélder Abreu took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 23rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Rui Coelho. Babau FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Vaqueira FC's Diogo Henriques played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adolfo Leiria in the 24th minute of play. 26 minutes into the match, Babau FC's Emílio Neves sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Diogo Henriques narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Daniel Azevedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rui Coelho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hugo Branco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Emílio Neves was the one to do the kick off. Adolfo Leiria could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Diogo Henriques made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Vaqueira FC's Joaquim Brito got a free kick in the 58th minute. After 66 played minutes Vaqueira FC got a freekick which was hit by Manuel Matos. Rui Coelho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Azevedo, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. If Adolfo Leiria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. During the 74th minute of the match José Moura completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave José Moura a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 75 played minutes Vaqueira FC got a freekick which was hit by José Moura. Rui Coelho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Azevedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Adolfo Leiria recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 84 played minutes Vaqueira FC got a freekick which was hit by Manuel Matos. Pedro Fonseca charged in rather forcefully in the 88th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pedro Fonseca the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 91st minute, Daniel Azevedo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Vaqueira FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. In the 94th match minute, Babau FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adolfo Aguiar to maneuver through the defense. In the 96th minute, Pedro Fonseca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 97th minute of the match Vítor Barbosa sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rui Coelho skillfully saved the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Vaqueira FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Babau FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
