The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Joaquim Lisboa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miguel Brás having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Joaquim Lisboa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Marreiros FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Joaquim Lisboa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Miguel Brás breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Afonso Rodrigues received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Miguel Brás tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Armando Pinheiro scored 0-1 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Diogo Gaspar, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Joaquim Lisboa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Humberto Morais charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Humberto Morais the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Ameais booed when Marreiros FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Humberto Morais didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Alexandre Paiva managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ameais's supporters rose to their feet, but Alexandre Paiva was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Diogo Gaspar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Marreiros FC's Joaquim Lisboa got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Afonso Rodrigues received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Miguel Brás tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Joaquim Lisboa came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Marreiros FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joaquim Lisboa couldn't finish the play. Joaquim Lisboa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 47th minute, Marreiros FC's Afonso Rodrigues dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1.

The wind increased when Afonso Rodrigues made the kick off in the second half. If Armando Pinheiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Alexandre Paiva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Diogo Gaspar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 64th minute Joaquim Lisboa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miguel Brás saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Alexandre Paiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a little luck, Marreiros FC's Diogo Gaspar got control of the ball when Alexandre Paiva tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Marreiros FC's zone, Armando Pinheiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Diogo Gaspar came out of the goal and Armando Pinheiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Joaquim Lisboa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miguel Brás having to interfere. After some careless play in the Ameais defense, Joaquim Lisboa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Miguel Brás. The Ameais fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Miguel Brás should have stopped the shot. Alexandre Paiva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Diogo Gaspar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Alexandre Paiva, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 82 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Diogo Gaspar was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. 86 minutes into the match, Ameais's goal looked a bit too open when Afonso Rodrigues came free, but Miguel Brás reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 88thth minute of the game Afonso Rodrigues who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ameais's Miguel Brás was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Joaquim Lisboa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Miguel Brás tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Joaquim Lisboa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Marreiros FC's Afonso Rodrigues in the 99th minute got a chance for a shot 99th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ameais's goalie prevented a goal. Marreiros FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
