Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Afonso Rocha started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Tomás Nascimento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miguel Fonseca having to interfere. In the 9th minute Tomás Nascimento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miguel Fonseca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ventusela FC's João Pires got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that João Pires's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bento Dias was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. After having played for 17 minutes, Fernando Paiva managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Grainho FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fernando Paiva was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bento Dias was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Afonso Rocha showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 23 minute of play. Adelino Correia's late challenge caught a Grainho FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Adelino Correia helped the player get up and apologised. 26 minutes into the game, one of Ventusela FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 27th minute there was a penalty for Grainho FC. Abel Santos stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Miguel Fonseca. 1-1. Sebastião Guerreiro took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Miguel Fonseca. Miguel Fonseca dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. In the 36th minute Tomás Nascimento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miguel Fonseca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If João Pires had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Afonso Rocha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

55 minutes into the match, Ventusela FC's goalkeeper Miguel Fonseca had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sebastião Guerreiro. In the 59th minute the ball was on its way in behind Grainho FC's goalkeeper Bento Dias, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Miguel Fonseca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomás Nascimento in the 64th minute of play. If Sebastião Guerreiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Sebastião Guerreiro kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Miguel Fonseca. That made the score 1-3 in the 75 minute of play. Cândido Sá was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 81 minutes into the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Ventusela FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 81st minute. Penalty! When the match had been going on for 83 minutes, Grainho FC's Abel Santos got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Miguel Fonseca. If João Pires had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that João Pires's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bento Dias was relentless in the 91st minute of the game. Sebastião Guerreiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Miguel Fonseca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Miguel Fonseca didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 95th minute, which inside left pole to 1-5. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Grainho FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
