Mário Castro charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mário Castro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to SC Longra getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Mário Castro hit a great ball. In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Longra's goalkeeper Oliveira Leal, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 41 minutes into the match, SC Longra's goalkeeper Oliveira Leal had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Joaquim Matias. 43 minutes into the game, Joaquim Matias cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Oliveira Leal was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

In the 58th minute, Filipe Amaral hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Rafael Trindade's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ricardo Assis was relentless in the 65th minute of the game. Pontevel FC's Ricardo Assis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save Pontevel FC from getting a goal against them. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Américo Abreu struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Oliveira Leal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pontevel FC. Joaquim Matias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Oliveira Leal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Américo Abreu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Pontevel FC support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
