Alexandre Lima stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Carlos Neves's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. When Francisco Guerreiro fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Escoural's protests and gave Francisco Guerreiro a yellow card for diving instead. Francisco Guerreiro hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Tomás Gueifão kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. The referee showed Tomás Gueifão the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 91st match minute, Escoural was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomás Gueifão to maneuver through the defense. Augusto Pedroso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 96 minutes into the match, Augusto Pedroso dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Humberto Sá, 0-1. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Baixinho had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
