SC Queixoperra's Manuel Coelho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Araújo in the 5th minute of play. When Paulo Alves fell near the penalty area in the 6th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Queixoperra's protests and gave Paulo Alves a yellow card for diving instead. Paulo Alves kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. 9 minutes into the game, Duarte Silva was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Alvalade's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Queixoperra the free kick. Duarte Silva hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. With an all-out effort, SC Queixoperra's Henrique Miranda threw himself towards the right post 13 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Eusébio Baptista, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Araújo in the 15th minute of play forced SC Queixoperra's goalkeeper Manuel Coelho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 20th minute, Eusébio Baptista fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Henrique Miranda, passed just outside the right post. 23 minutes into the game, Júlio Moniz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. António Anjos's late challenge caught a Alvalade's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. António Anjos helped the player get up and apologised. António Anjos hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Daniel Araújo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manuel Coelho having to interfere. In the 32nd minute Eusébio Baptista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henrique Miranda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Manuel Coelho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gil Aleixo, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. If António Anjos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Araújo in the 52nd minute of play forced SC Queixoperra's goalkeeper Manuel Coelho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Júlio Moniz might have been able to make a better finish in the 57th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Manuel Coelho. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Júlio Moniz ran back to his position shaking his head. Daniel Araújo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Daniel Araújo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 67th minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Queixoperra's goalkeeper Manuel Coelho, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. SC Queixoperra's António Anjos got his second yellow card of the match in the 68th minute. The referee ordered António Anjos off the ground. After a rather tough play, SC Queixoperra's António Anjos got a free kick in the 69th minute. The supporters of Alvalade booed when SC Queixoperra was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cláudio Correia didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tiago Amaro kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Gil Aleixo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Alvalade's supporters rose to their feet, but Gil Aleixo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Manuel Coelho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Domingos Ferreira took the ball and in the 90 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Henrique Miranda. Henrique Miranda dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. SC Queixoperra's defense didn't have a chance, in the 94th minute, when Daniel Araújo scored to the left of an out of position Manuel Coelho, making the score, 1-1. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
