The supporters of Alvalade booed when Canadelo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Diamantino Campos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gil Aleixo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo Vaz having to interfere. In the 22nd match minute, Canadelo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lucas Barbosa to maneuver through the defense. Paulo Vaz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gil Aleixo, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Alvalade's zone, Vítor Costa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Henrique Miranda came out of the goal and Vítor Costa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rogério Lisboa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Canadelo FC getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Diamantino Campos hit a great ball. Daniel Araújo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Henrique Miranda made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vítor Costa in the 44th minute. Vítor Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Henrique Miranda having to interfere. Júlio Moniz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Vítor Costa charged in rather forcefully in the 72nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vítor Costa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Vítor Costa kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match.
