Rogério Nunes acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 3rd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Cristóvão Santarém. An unexpectedly hard shot by Augusto Aguiar in the 4th minute of play forced Rapa FC's goalkeeper Rogério Nunes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Augusto Aguiar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rogério Nunes having to interfere. If Filipe Borba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Filipe Paiva fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rapa FC's protests and gave Filipe Paiva a yellow card for diving instead. Adelino Castro hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. In the 22nd minute, one of SC Galamares:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for SC Galamares. Rogério Nunes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Filipe Borba, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. 34 minutes into the game, Diamantino Assis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rapa FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Galamares the free kick. In the 34th minute, Diamantino Assis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. SC Galamares's Lucas Viana broke free in the 35th minute of the match and struck a powerful long shot that almost became a goal, but instead the ball went outside the right post. An obvious chance of a goal. After 35 minutes of play Rapa FC's Diamantino Assis was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. A collision led to Rapa FC getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Diamantino Assis hit a great ball. In the 37th minute, Augusto Aguiar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 41 played minutes SC Galamares got a freekick which was hit by André Esteves. A collision led to SC Galamares getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. João Sousa hit a great ball. After 45 played minutes, Rapa FC's Pedro Domingues shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jacinto Silva came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Rapa FC reached it. In the 47th minute, SC Galamares's Filipe Borba dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Filipe Borba stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute Amadeu Delgado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rogério Nunes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 60 minutes into the match, Rapa FC's goal looked a bit too open when Augusto Aguiar came free, but Rogério Nunes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Filipe Paiva got his second yellow card in the match during the 63rd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Filipe Paiva hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. In the 65thth minute of the game Filipe Borba who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rapa FC's Rogério Nunes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A very good chance. 77 minutes into the game, António Aleixo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. The audience was convinced that Filipe Borba's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rogério Nunes was relentless in the 83rd minute of the game. The supporters of SC Galamares booed when Rapa FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jorge Coelho didn't get a good kick on the ball. Augusto Aguiar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
