The Cabo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Diamantino Rodrigues stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alfredo Matos's shot from short distance in the 7th minute. When Cabo's Alfredo Matos in the 10th minute got a chance for a shot 10th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Poiares FC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 21st minute, Domingos Resende hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Paulo Assunção got free with Diamantino Rodrigues in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfredo Matos in the 30th minute of play forced Poiares FC's goalkeeper Diamantino Rodrigues to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 33rd of the match, Alfredo Matos tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Diamantino Rodrigues got in the way and made a wonderful save. When Alfredo Matos came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Cabo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alfredo Matos couldn't finish the play. In the 46th minute, Rui Aleixo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alfredo Matos to strike the kick off in the second half. Carlos Baptista made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Vítor Miranda sent off a good shot on target. In the 59th match minute, Poiares FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rui Campos to maneuver through the defense. If Alfredo Matos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cristóvão Valente kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Diamantino Rodrigues took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulo Assunção, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 76th minute, Vítor Miranda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vítor Miranda took the ball and in the 85 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Carlos Baptista. Carlos Baptista dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. If Vítor Miranda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cláudio Carneiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Baptista having to interfere. With a little luck, Cabo's Carlos Baptista got control of the ball when Vítor Miranda tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 94th match minute, Cabo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Miguel Trindade to maneuver through the defense. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
