With a little luck, Louzinha's Catarino Gonçalves got control of the ball when Diogo Leiria tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jacinto Fernandes was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 9 minutes into the match. In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind Louzinha's goalkeeper Catarino Gonçalves, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 18 played minutes Louzinha got a freekick which was hit by Hélder Pires. Diogo Guerreiro took the ball and in the 20 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised António Pedroso. António Pedroso dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Diogo Guerreiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eusébio Andrade fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without António Pedroso having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Junto FC's zone, Diogo Guerreiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. António Pedroso came out of the goal and Diogo Guerreiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diogo Guerreiro in the 38th minute of play forced Junto FC's goalkeeper António Pedroso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Louzinha's Catarino Gonçalves proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Louzinha from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Louzinha getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Artur Barros hit a great ball. An unexpected shot in the 44th minute by Diogo Leiria got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Eusébio Andrade received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. António Pedroso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Junto FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Louzinha were winning 0-2.

In the 54th minute Miguel Gueifão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Catarino Gonçalves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Diogo Leiria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Junto FC's Diogo Leiria got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Catarino Gonçalves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diogo Leiria in the 75th minute of play. If Diogo Guerreiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eusébio Andrade sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Diogo Guerreiro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but António Pedroso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. The Junto FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Louzinha were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
