Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Filipe Bessa got the match started through his kick off. After 3 minutes, Duarte Garcia mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Alquerubim FC and the SC Arrifes players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 4th minute, Adolfo Freitas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 6th minute Afonso Nascimento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Vale saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 13th minute, Filipe Bessa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SC Arrifes fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Cristiano Leite's late challenge caught a Alquerubim FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cristiano Leite helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Alquerubim FC booed when SC Arrifes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristiano Leite didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tomás Delgado didn't quite understand what happened when in the 18 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. 25 minutes had been played when some careless play by Alquerubim FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Adolfo Freitas was slow to take the kick. During this time SC Arrifes's players had a chance to rest. SC Arrifes's Adolfo Freitas was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but David Vale in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. David Vale showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Afonso Nascimento in the 31st minute of the match. If Vítor Carvalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Alquerubim FC's David Vale played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Filipe Bessa in the 46th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cristiano Leiria was the one to do the kick off. If Filipe Bessa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lúcio Carvalho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emílio Nogueira having to interfere. Emílio Nogueira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristiano Leiria in the 68th minute of the match. 71 minutes into the match, Afonso Nascimento notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Alquerubim FC's David Vale. David Vale was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a little luck, Alquerubim FC's David Vale got control of the ball when Afonso Nascimento tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Filipe Bessa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. David Vale made a fantastic save in the 78th minute, when Afonso Nascimento sent off a good shot on target. Afonso Nascimento took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised David Vale. David Vale dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Filipe Bessa managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Arrifes's supporters rose to their feet, but Filipe Bessa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. David Vale breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The SC Arrifes supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing SC Arrifes would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
