Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Francisco Pinto got the match started through his kick off. Bernardo Mota might have been able to make a better finish in the 6th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Manuel Pacheco. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bernardo Mota ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Sequeira booed when Espargo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emanuel Reis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Xavier Viana received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Alexandre Ferro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alexandre Ferro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Xavier Viana went, in the 15th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. If Bernardo Mota had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Xavier Viana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bernardo Mota received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Manuel Pacheco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 36th match minute, Espargo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joaquim Cruz to maneuver through the defense. Francisco Pinto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Manuel Pacheco was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The Sequeira players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Espargo were winning 1-2.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ricardo Vaz made a kick off. In the 55th minute, Daniel Viegas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 58 minutes Espargo's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Manuel Carvalho who took care of the corner kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Francisco Pinto in the 64th minute of play forced Espargo's goalkeeper Manuel Pacheco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 65th minute, Francisco Pinto left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sequeira fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. 69 minutes into the match, Sequeira's goal looked a bit too open when Ricardo Vaz came free, but Alexandre Ferro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 70th minute Francisco Pinto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manuel Pacheco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Francisco Pinto took the ball and in the 73 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Manuel Pacheco. Manuel Pacheco dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. Jacinto Moreira's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Manuel Pacheco read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. Rafael Gonçalves got his second yellow card in the match during the 80th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After 81 played minutes Sequeira got a freekick which was hit by Rafael Gonçalves. If Ricardo Vaz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 86 minutes into the match, Sequeira's goalkeeper Alexandre Ferro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Xavier Viana. Xavier Viana received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Alexandre Ferro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Ricardo Vaz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bernardo Mota recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Joaquim Cruz kicked well hit freekick during the 99th minute of the match. If Jacinto Moreira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 101st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Sequeira fans cheered their team off the field, for while Espargo had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
