Daniel Resende charged in rather forcefully in the 5th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Daniel Resende the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. David Assunção went to the wrong direction when Filipe Melo was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. With a little luck, SC Ariola's Armando Henriques got control of the ball when Catarino Barbosa tried to sneak it across the goal line. Alexandre Dantas struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Armando Henriques didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Fundada. Alexandre Dantas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Armando Henriques having to make a save. 18 minutes in the game, Alexandre Dantas fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Armando Henriques having to interfere. In the 21st minute, Bernardo Viana hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alexandre Dantas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. SC Ariola's Armando Henriques proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save SC Ariola from getting a goal against them. Humberto Garcia, 32 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. João Aleixo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. David Assunção came out of the goal in the 40th minute to try and stop a shot by SC Ariola's Cristiano Baptista. But to his dismay, Cristiano Baptista quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Manuel Borges managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Ariola's supporters rose to their feet, but Manuel Borges was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. David Assunção breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 48th minute, Bernardo Viana got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

In the 54th minute of the match SC Fundada got a corner. SC Ariola's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Humberto Garcia ran over to the corner to take the kick. Daniel Resende hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Catarino Barbosa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Armando Henriques tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Cristiano Baptista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, SC Fundada's Fernando Carvalho got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Cristiano Baptista came free with the goalkeeper in the 65th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and David Assunção could save by the left post. João Aleixo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. David Assunção tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 80th minute João Aleixo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Assunção saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Catarino Barbosa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Armando Henriques read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. Catarino Barbosa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Armando Henriques having to interfere. The SC Fundada supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching SC Ariola's performance. The match ended with a win for SC Ariola.
