Arzila FC's Júlio Fontes got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Arzila FC's Xavier Santos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Catarino Barbosa in the 38th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Arzila FC's Cristóvão Faro got a free kick in the 39th minute. In the 40th minute, Catarino Barbosa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alexandre Dantas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

After some careless play in the SC Fundada defense, Paulo Ramos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of David Assunção. The SC Fundada fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that David Assunção should have stopped the shot. David Assunção showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Júlio Fontes, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. In the 61st minute, Júlio Fontes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Catarino Barbosa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Xavier Santos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Arzila FC's Xavier Santos got control of the ball when Catarino Barbosa tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 79 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Arzila FC! When the match had been going on for 80 minutes, SC Fundada's Humberto Garcia got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Xavier Santos. David Assunção took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Júlio Fontes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Catarino Barbosa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Xavier Santos having to make a save. In the 99th minute Paulo Ramos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Assunção saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arzila FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
