Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Augusto Branco took the kick off in the first half of the match. António Pinto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sérgio Vale, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Sérgio Vale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Covao's Artur Ribeiro got a free kick in the 7th minute. 9 minutes into the match, Covao's goal looked a bit too open when Sérgio Vale came free, but António Pinto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 12 minutes into the game, one of SC Gramatinha:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Eusébio Matias shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Sérgio Vale fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without António Pinto having to interfere. In the 18th match minute, SC Gramatinha was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Duarte Correia to maneuver through the defense. In the 20th play minute Emanuel Dantas came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Joaquim Moniz. 1-0. In the 23rd minute Augusto Ferreira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but António Pinto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 24th match minute, Covao was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jorge Faria to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 25 minutes, Augusto Ferreira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Gramatinha's supporters crossed their fingers, but Augusto Ferreira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. António Pinto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sérgio Vale, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Emanuel Dantas might have been able to make a better finish in the 29th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Joaquim Moniz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Emanuel Dantas ran back to his position shaking his head. Joaquim Moniz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Augusto Branco in the 30th minute of play. After 34 played minutes, Covao's Eusébio Matias shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Joaquim Moniz came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Covao reached it. Augusto Branco struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Joaquim Moniz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Covao. Augusto Branco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 39 minutes, Lucas Vale mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Gramatinha and the Covao players grew even worse after the yellow card. Lucas Vale hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. António Pinto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sérgio Vale in the 45th minute of the match.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Augusto Ferreira to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, SC Gramatinha's Augusto Ferreira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that António Pinto narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 54th minute, Emanuel Dantas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Emanuel Dantas hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Augusto Ferreira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sérgio Vale's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but António Pinto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. If Augusto Ferreira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of SC Gramatinha booed when Covao was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexandre Neto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Augusto Branco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joaquim Moniz having to interfere. In the 86th minute, Emanuel Dantas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Joaquim Moniz was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emanuel Dantas in the 90th minute of play forced SC Gramatinha's goalkeeper Joaquim Moniz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Covao fans cheered their team off the field, for while SC Gramatinha had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
