SC Lara's David Anjos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abel Dias in the 29th minute of play. Rodrigo Neves struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. David Anjos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lamego. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that José Neves couldn't finish the play. In the 65th minute, Rodrigo Neves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Abel Dias came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Lamego fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abel Dias couldn't finish the play. After 75 played minutes SC Lara got a freekick which was hit by João Maia. After 84 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Lamego! The referee gave SC Lara a penalty, 85 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by David Leiria, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Lamego's Rogério Reis. 1-0. Abel Dias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Anjos having to interfere. Lamego's Gonçalo Figueiredo got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lamego's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
