Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Cristiano Paiva started the match with the kick off. Valinhas FC's Adolfo Borges played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Castro in the 5th minute of play. After 10 played minutes Cerejeiras FC got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Borba. After recieving a nice pass, Valinhas FC's Filipe Neves tried to score from far away in the 11th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 12th minute, Valinhas FC's Marco Assunção ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Gabriel Leão. Gabriel Leão yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Adolfo Borges made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristiano Paiva in the 16th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Valinhas FC's zone, João Castro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adolfo Borges came out of the goal and João Castro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gabriel Leão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marco Assunção in the 30th minute of play. After 34 played minutes Valinhas FC got a freekick which was hit by Gaspar Rodrigues. 37 minutes into the match, Rui Leal sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Gabriel Leão threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Rui Leal this time. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Castro in the 42nd minute of play forced Valinhas FC's goalkeeper Adolfo Borges to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Júlio Leão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gabriel Leão having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Marco Assunção to strike the kick off in the second half. Gabriel Leão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marco Assunção, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Valinhas FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Filipe Neves in the 56th minute. The corner led Valinhas FC's Filipe Neves to fire away a dangerous shot which Gabriel Leão despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. João Castro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Adolfo Borges made a huge save. Gabriel Leão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marco Assunção in the 68th minute of the match. Cerejeiras FC's João Castro got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 74th minute, Júlio Leão got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Marco Assunção received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Gabriel Leão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
