Pinhete FC's Armindo Faria played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miguel Luz in the 3rd minute of play. Armindo Faria showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Garcia in the 5th minute of the match. Armindo Faria took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedro Garcia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Júlio Henriques received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. André Gomes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Miguel Vieira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 20th minute, Valinhos's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Júlio Henriques fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The audience was convinced that Miguel Vieira's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but André Gomes was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. Miguel Vieira's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 25thth minute, André Gomes skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miguel Luz in the 33rd minute of play forced Pinhete FC's goalkeeper Armindo Faria to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Pinhete FC's Raul Freitas got a free kick in the 33rd minute. 35 minutes into the game, Júlio Henriques was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pinhete FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Valinhos the free kick. After 35 played minutes Pinhete FC got a freekick which was hit by Júlio Henriques. Júlio Henriques blasted a shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without André Gomes having to make a save. Armindo Faria showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miguel Luz in the 39th minute of the match. If Júlio Henriques had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 47th minute the ball was on its way in behind Pinhete FC's goalkeeper Armindo Faria, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Miguel Vieira to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Júlio Henriques ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. André Gomes was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. David Mota hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. After having played for 62 minutes, Júlio Henriques managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pinhete FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Júlio Henriques was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Pedro Garcia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the match clock showed 71 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Júlio Henriques sped through Valinhos's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of André Gomes. André Gomes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Júlio Henriques in the 80th minute of the match. The supporters of Pinhete FC booed when Valinhos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gabriel Alves didn't get a good kick on the ball. Júlio Henriques blasted a shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without André Gomes having to make a save. After a rather tough play, Pinhete FC's André Amaral got a free kick in the 88th minute. Valinhos's Miguel Luz got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Miguel Vieira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 96th minute Miguel Vieira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but André Gomes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
