Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Cristóvão Ferreira kicked off to start the match. If António Pires had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 5 minutes into the match, Fernando Queirós dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Albertino Valente, 1-0. Fernando Queirós received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Albertino Valente tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. António Pires sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 12 minutes into the game, Rui Cardoso was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bomfim's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Centieiro the free kick. The supporters of Centieiro booed when Bomfim was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rui Cardoso didn't get a good kick on the ball. Manuel Veiga, 13 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 14th minute Fernando Queirós shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Albertino Valente saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fernando Queirós struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Albertino Valente didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Centieiro. António Pires fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Albertino Valente having to interfere. António Pires sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a little luck, Bomfim's Albertino Valente got control of the ball when António Pires tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 37 minutes of play, Bomfim's José Oliveira made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cláudio Aleixo was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 41st minute José Oliveira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cláudio Aleixo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by André Valente during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 42 played minutes Centieiro got a freekick which was hit by André Valente. José Oliveira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cláudio Aleixo having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by José Oliveira during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fernando Queirós to make the kick off. In the 53rd match minute, Centieiro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sebastião Fernandes to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Bomfim's João Resende tried to score from far away in the 54th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Cristóvão Ferreira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Cláudio Aleixo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. During the 63rd minute of the match Sebastião Fernandes completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Sebastião Fernandes a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. José Oliveira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cláudio Aleixo having to interfere. António Pires sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 80 minutes into the game, Cristóvão Ferreira was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. When António Pires came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Centieiro fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that António Pires couldn't finish the play. Albertino Valente showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from António Pires in the 93rd minute of the match. The Bomfim players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Centieiro from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
