Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Armindo Nascimento kicked off to start the match. In the 5th minute, Paulo Simões got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Paulo Simões fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricardo Maia having to interfere. In the 12th minute, Miguel Lima hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 14th minute, Hélder Almeida got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Miguel Lima sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 22 minutes into the match, Gargantada FC's goal looked a bit too open when Hélder Almeida came free, but Rogério Leite reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hélder Almeida fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rogério Leite having to interfere. Ricardo Maia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Armindo Nascimento in the 26th minute of the match. Armindo Nascimento struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Ricardo Maia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gargantada FC. Paulo Simões's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ricardo Maia read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. Ricardo Maia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Armindo Nascimento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hélder Almeida recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

When Miguel Lima came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Atalaia FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Miguel Lima couldn't finish the play. Ricardo Maia made an important save on a dangerous shot by Paulo Simões in the 54th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Atalaia FC's zone, Armindo Nascimento stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ricardo Maia came out of the goal and Armindo Nascimento tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Atalaia FC's Ricardo Maia proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save Atalaia FC from getting a goal against them. The referee felt a red card was in order, 62 minutes into the game, when Rui Moniz put in a rough tackle. Carlos Silva's late challenge caught a Atalaia FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Carlos Silva helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Gargantada FC getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Carlos Silva hit a great ball. Gargantada FC's Armindo Nascimento got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ricardo Maia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Armindo Nascimento in the 73rd minute of play. In the 79thth minute of the game Armindo Nascimento who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Atalaia FC's Ricardo Maia was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Armando Paredes fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Atalaia FC's protests and gave Armando Paredes a yellow card for diving instead. Armindo Nascimento recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 95 minutes into the match, Atalaia FC's goal looked a bit too open when Armindo Nascimento came free, but Ricardo Maia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Armindo Nascimento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
