Sandro Silva recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 42 minutes into the match, Concieiro FC's Pedro Silva sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nuno Aleixo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Alegrete FC's Rui Assunção got a free kick in the 43rd minute. In the 46th minute, Rui Tavares got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Afonso Andrade made a kick off. Rui Viana showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ricardo Araújo in the 52nd minute of the match. Nuno Aleixo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1.
