Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Jorge Neves kicked off to start the match. Óscar Castro charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Óscar Castro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 7th minute, Rui Ramos sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Torrinheiras's André Freitas didn't even have to move. Augusto Mota sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Jorge Neves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 16 minutes of play, Igreja FC's Jorge Neves made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. André Freitas was left in no man's land by his defense there! Augusto Mota's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but André Freitas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. André Freitas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jorge Neves, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. The supporters of Igreja FC booed when Torrinheiras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Óscar Castro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Manuel Lima received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Augusto Faro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Igreja FC's zone, Manuel Lima stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Augusto Faro came out of the goal and Manuel Lima tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 34 minutes, Vítor Dias managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Torrinheiras's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vítor Dias was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 39th minute, Luís Nunes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vítor Dias to make the kick off. Manuel Lima took the ball and in the 53 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Augusto Faro. Augusto Faro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Jorge Neves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Augusto Mota fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without André Freitas having to interfere. Augusto Faro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vítor Dias in the 65th minute of the match. Rui Ramos was slow to take the kick. During this time Igreja FC's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Igreja FC's Rui Ramos to fire away a dangerous shot which André Freitas despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 93 minutes into the game, Vítor Dias cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Augusto Faro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
