A very good chance. 10 minutes into the game, António Neves was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sopegal's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Friaes the free kick. In the 14th minute Lourenço Valente shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emanuel Ramos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sopegal's Bernardo Nunes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by André Setúbal in the 18th minute of play. Emanuel Ramos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lourenço Valente in the 20th minute of the match. In the 22nd minute, Lourenço Valente ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Emanuel Ramos was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. When Joaquim Ferreira came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Friaes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joaquim Ferreira couldn't finish the play. If André Setúbal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice moves Joaquim Ferreira could shoot a difficult shot in the 39th minute, which Bernardo Nunes however easily saved by the left post. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Amadeu Matias during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Amadeu Matias kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Sopegal's Amadeu Matias got a free kick in the 43rd minute. In the 43rd minute, Cristiano Vieira sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Sopegal's Bernardo Nunes didn't even have to move. The Friaes players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Sopegal were winning 0-1.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lourenço Valente to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joaquim Ferreira in the 53rd minute of play forced Sopegal's goalkeeper Bernardo Nunes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lourenço Valente struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Emanuel Ramos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sopegal. After having played for 61 minutes, Lourenço Valente managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The referee ignored Friaes's protests and gave Joaquim Ferreira a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Sopegal booed when Friaes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joaquim Ferreira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bernardo Nunes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of André Setúbal's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. Bernardo Nunes came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by Friaes's Joaquim Ferreira. But to his dismay, Joaquim Ferreira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by André Setúbal in the 86th minute of play forced Sopegal's goalkeeper Bernardo Nunes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 89th minute, Friaes's Cristiano Vieira seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Cristiano Vieira the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Friaes protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Cristiano Vieira had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in Friaes fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 88th minute. Penalty! Bernardo Nunes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joaquim Ferreira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Emanuel Ramos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lourenço Valente, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
