Afonso Mota showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cláudio Leite in the 20th minute of the match. After 21 minutes, João Pires mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Candedo FC and the Marcolos players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Marcolos booed when Candedo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Pires didn't get a good kick on the ball. João Amaro hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Afonso Mota was out of position in the 25 minute of play, and Cláudio Leite capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Cláudio Leite really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. After a rather tough play, Marcolos's David Assis got a free kick in the 28th minute. Afonso Mota made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Cristiano Leiria sent off a good shot on target. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cristóvão Monteiro to make the kick off. When Paulo Mendes came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Marcolos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paulo Mendes couldn't finish the play. Miguel Castro got his second yellow card in the match during the 55th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After 56 played minutes Marcolos got a freekick which was hit by Miguel Castro. Afonso Mota didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Candedo FC's Emanuel Pereira shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 4-1 in the ordered_time% minute. After having played for 68 minutes, Paulo Mendes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Marcolos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paulo Mendes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 70th minute, Emanuel Pereira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 78 minutes, Emanuel Pereira made it 5-1 with a short kick to the right side. Marcolos's Afonso Mota tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Ricardo Nunes hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. David Assis, 85 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. A collision led to Candedo FC getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Ricardo Nunes hit a great ball. Afonso Mota stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Emanuel Pereira's shot from short distance in the 88th minute. When the match had gone on for 90 minutes, Paulo Mendes took a quick shot and it went in 5-2 without a chance for Nuno Silva to make any attempt to save it. If Diogo Pinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. For all the effort they put into the match, the Marcolos players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Candedo FC.
