Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Basílio Leal started the match with the kick off. Basílio Leal hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. Joel Leão stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hugo Matias's shot from short distance in the 4th minute. Hugo Matias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joel Leão having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hugo Matias in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Joel Leão saved SC Ermentao from getting behind. Vasco Lisboa struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Joel Leão didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ceiroquinho. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hugo Matias in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joel Leão prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Hugo Matias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Basílio Leal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Delfim Mendes having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vasco Lisboa in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Joel Leão saved SC Ermentao from getting behind. 28 minutes into the match, Ceiroquinho's goalkeeper Delfim Mendes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rui Cabral. Alfredo Ramos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Delfim Mendes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vasco Lisboa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Joel Leão read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. Joel Leão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hugo Matias in the 34th minute of play. The supporters of Ceiroquinho booed when SC Ermentao was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hugo Coelho didn't get a good kick on the ball. António Mendes kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. When Hugo Matias came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Ceiroquinho fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hugo Matias couldn't finish the play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hugo Matias stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hugo Matias in the 52nd minute of play forced SC Ermentao's goalkeeper Joel Leão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alfredo Ramos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Delfim Mendes came out of the goal in the 58th minute to try and stop a shot by SC Ermentao's Alfredo Ramos. But to his dismay, Alfredo Ramos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Nuno Paredes managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Ermentao's supporters rose to their feet, but Nuno Paredes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Delfim Mendes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Delfim Mendes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Basílio Leal's shot from short distance in the 67th minute. After 70 played minutes, Ceiroquinho's Eusébio Moniz shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Joel Leão came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ceiroquinho reached it. Vasco Lisboa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Joel Leão made a huge save. Hugo Matias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Joel Leão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to SC Ermentao getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Rui Cabral hit a great ball. 76 minutes into the game, Vasco Lisboa lined in a short shot 1-1 behind a frustrated Joel Leão. After 81 minutes of play, SC Ermentao's Basílio Leal made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Delfim Mendes was left in no man's land by his defense there! Hugo Matias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With an all-out effort, Ceiroquinho's Joel Leão threw himself towards the right post 89 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from António Dantas, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
