Lourenço Neves was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Gaspar Castro's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 18thth minute, Daniel Bessa skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Fábio Pinto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lourenço Neves read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. António Machado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Daniel Bessa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Delfim Barbosa charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Delfim Barbosa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Sequeira FC getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Delfim Barbosa hit a great ball. António Machado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Daniel Bessa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Daniel Bessa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gaspar Castro in the 46th minute. 48 minutes into the match, Sequeira FC's goalkeeper Daniel Bessa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gaspar Castro. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gustavo Campos to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Sequeira FC booed when Sorgacosa FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lúcio Ramos didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Fábio Pinto came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Sequeira FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fábio Pinto couldn't finish the play.
