Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Medronhal's Daniel Paiva in the 30th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Lourenço Neves was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Sorgacosa FC through an amazing save. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Álvaro Neves showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Sorgacosa FC's attack was well implemented in the 35th minute, but when António Machado was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. Álvaro Neves stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of António Machado's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. In the 39thth minute of the game António Machado who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Medronhal's Álvaro Neves was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Humberto Torres received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Lourenço Neves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Daniel Paiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 49th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Medronhal players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Sorgacosa FC were winning 0-1.

In the 55th minute, one of Sorgacosa FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Sorgacosa FC. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Paiva in the 71st minute of play forced Sorgacosa FC's goalkeeper Lourenço Neves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Medronhal booed when Sorgacosa FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emílio Andrade didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lourenço Neves came out of the goal and Daniel Paiva tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Medronhal's Álvaro Neves got control of the ball when Gaspar Castro tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Humberto Torres in the 95th minute of play forced Sorgacosa FC's goalkeeper Lourenço Neves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Humberto Torres struck a weak shot in the 100th minute. Lourenço Neves didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Medronhal. Medronhal were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
