The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sebastião Carvalho during the 2nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 4th minute, SC Misquel's Alexandre Reis dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. If Tomás Nunes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 8 minutes, Carlos Sá mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Barradas FC and the SC Misquel players grew even worse after the yellow card. Carlos Sá kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. The referee felt a red card was in order, 13 minutes into the game, when Ricardo Borba put in a rough tackle. After 13 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for SC Misquel! The referee gave Barradas FC a penalty, 15 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Domingos Costa, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of SC Misquel's Alexandre Viegas. 1-1. Raul Dias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Alexandre Viegas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fernando Soares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Raul Dias scored 1-2 in the 23rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alexandre Viegas, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Raul Dias might have been able to make a better finish in the 28th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alexandre Viegas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Raul Dias ran back to his position shaking his head. Fernando Soares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexandre Viegas having to interfere. In the 32nd minute, Adelino Simões hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 34 minutes into the game, Barradas FC's Raul Dias nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alexandre Viegas made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Fernando Soares to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Fernando Soares fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Alexandre Viegas, passed just outside the right post. When Tomás Nunes fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Misquel's protests and gave Tomás Nunes a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to SC Misquel getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Tomás Nunes hit a great ball. In the 59th minute, Vítor Macedo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Fernando Soares managed to get in a good position for a shot. Barradas FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Fernando Soares was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post.
