When José Faria came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Paranho FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that José Faria couldn't finish the play. 9 minutes into the match, SC Misquel's goalkeeper Alexandre Viegas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by José Faria. The crowd rose to their feet as José Faria kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Alexandre Viegas. That made the score 2-0 in the 9 minute of play. José Faria fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexandre Viegas having to interfere. Tomás Nunes charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tomás Nunes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Tomás Nunes kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. After having played for 24 minutes, Emílio Viegas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Misquel's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emílio Viegas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 26 minutes of play, SC Misquel's Alexandre Reis made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vítor Melo was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience thought a goal was coming when Afonso Alves got free with Alexandre Viegas in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 30 minutes, Mário Alves mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Misquel and the Paranho FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. José Faria who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 32ndth minute tested the skills of Alexandre Viegas when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If Emílio Viegas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in SC Misquel fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 40th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Paranho FC a penalty, 43 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Carlos Queirós, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of SC Misquel's Alexandre Viegas. 3-1. The supporters of Paranho FC booed when SC Misquel was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ricardo Borba didn't get a good kick on the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alexandre Reis was the one to do the kick off. Humberto Vaz kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexandre Reis in the 55th minute of play forced Paranho FC's goalkeeper Vítor Melo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Paranho FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Manuel Soares was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alexandre Viegas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. For all the effort they put into the match, the SC Misquel players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Paranho FC.
