After 9 played minutes Torrejao got a freekick which was hit by João Lima. 12 minutes into the game, Cristiano Carvalho was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Carramanha's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Torrejao the free kick. In the 12th minute, one of Carramanha:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Carramanha. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jorge Pacheco in the 28th minute of play forced Torrejao's goalkeeper Ricardo Lima to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ricardo Lima stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jorge Pacheco's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. A collision led to Torrejao getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. João Lima hit a great ball. Torrejao's Ricardo Lima played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jorge Pacheco in the 32nd minute of play. Ricardo Lima stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fernando Mota's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. Jorge Viegas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fernando Mota was the one to do the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Carlos Carvalho in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alexandre Bessa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 55th minute of the game. One of Torrejao:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Carramanha:s goal. Vicente Paiva placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Carlos Carvalho struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Alexandre Bessa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Torrejao. Jorge Viegas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexandre Bessa having to interfere. In the 68th minute Carlos Carvalho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexandre Bessa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Carlos Carvalho came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Torrejao fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carlos Carvalho couldn't finish the play. Carlos Carvalho blasted a shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alexandre Bessa having to make a save.
