Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Carlos Cruz started the match with the kick off. Marco Simões sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. João Freitas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Marco Simões had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pena FC's Eusébio Faria proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Pena FC from getting a goal against them. 17 minutes into the game, Carlos Cruz recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Eusébio Faria. Carlos Cruz showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Paulo Luz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Freitas in the 21st minute of play. After 23 minutes Renda FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Emílio Aguiar who took care of the corner kick. In the 27th minute, Miguel Brito got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 29 minutes, Carlos Cruz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Renda FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carlos Cruz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Paulo Luz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Freitas in the 33rd minute of play. Miguel Brito sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. João Freitas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Paulo Luz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. Viriato Paiva charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Viriato Paiva the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Carlos Cruz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Eusébio Faria tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gabriel Ribeiro charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gabriel Ribeiro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Pena FC booed when Renda FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gabriel Ribeiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. 59 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Pena FC's João Freitas fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. When Marco Simões came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Renda FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marco Simões couldn't finish the play. 67 minutes into the match, Pena FC's goal looked a bit too open when Marco Simões came free, but Eusébio Faria reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pena FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Emílio Aguiar in the 73rd minute. After taking down the ball on Pena FC's corner Emílio Aguiar fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Paulo Luz quite easily take care of the ball. After 76 played minutes Renda FC got a freekick which was hit by Cristiano Matos. Miguel Brito fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo Luz having to interfere. Rui Coelho lost his temper 83 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee gave Renda FC a penalty, 85 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Filipe Fernandes, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Pena FC's Eusébio Faria. 2-0. 88 minutes into the match, Pena FC's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Cruz came free, but Eusébio Faria reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marco Simões in the 92nd minute of play forced Pena FC's goalkeeper Eusébio Faria to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Carlos Cruz might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Eusébio Faria. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Carlos Cruz ran back to his position shaking his head. Renda FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Pena FC for a fine match.
