Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Carlos Baptista took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 4th minute, Tiago Pereira reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Paulo Faro. The goal made the score 1-0. Tiago Pereira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo Faro having to interfere. Júlio Pereira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Baptista in the 10th minute of the match. Rui Miranda might have been able to make a better finish in the 11th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Júlio Pereira. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rui Miranda ran back to his position shaking his head. Júlio Pereira came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by SC Monteiras's Carlos Baptista. But to his dismay, Carlos Baptista quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. 25 minutes into the game, Eduardo Esteves was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cardosa FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Monteiras the free kick. Rui Mota could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Paulo Faro made a huge save. Rui Mota let the left foot speak when in front of goal in the 28th minute shot 2-1 at rihgt post. Rui Mota received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Paulo Faro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, SC Monteiras's Humberto Amorim got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Paulo Faro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tiago Pereira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Júlio Pereira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Baptista in the 38th minute of play. Júlio Pereira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Baptista in the 40th minute of the match. Carlos Baptista sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tiago Pereira made a kick off. Cardosa FC's Bernardo Delgado was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Paulo Faro in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Rui Miranda hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in SC Monteiras's zone, Tiago Pereira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paulo Faro came out of the goal and Tiago Pereira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tiago Pereira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Paulo Faro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Tiago Pereira came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Cardosa FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tiago Pereira couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Cardosa FC's Júlio Pereira got control of the ball when Rui Miranda tried to sneak it across the goal line.
