The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, Pedome FC's goalkeeper Jacinto Veiga had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Miguel Carneiro. After 5 minutes of play, Pedome FC's Alexandre Ferro made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Álvaro Tavares was left in no man's land by his defense there! João Alves kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Miguel Carneiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacinto Veiga having to interfere. A collision led to Porteira FC getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Jorge Torres hit a great ball. After having played for 26 minutes, Artur Baptista managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Porteira FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Artur Baptista was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jacinto Veiga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Artur Baptista, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 34th minute, Alexandre Ferro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Álvaro Tavares was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. After having played for 39 minutes, Fernando Azevedo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pedome FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fernando Azevedo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 42 minutes into the game, Alexandre Ferro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Álvaro Tavares was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fernando Azevedo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Through an outstanding action, after 52 minutes, Álvaro Tavares successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 58 minutes into the match, Porteira FC's Miguel Carneiro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jacinto Veiga narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Alexandre Ferro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alexandre Ferro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Álvaro Tavares made a huge save. If Miguel Carneiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tomás Carneiro kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Artur Baptista received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Jacinto Veiga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 77th minute, João Alves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Álvaro Tavares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fernando Azevedo in the 85th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nuno Mendes during the 85th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Nuno Mendes hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. If Alexandre Ferro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 89 minutes, Fernando Azevedo took a quick shot and it went in 1-4 without a chance for Álvaro Tavares to make any attempt to save it. In the 92nd minute, Alexandre Ferro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Fernando Azevedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Álvaro Tavares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Porteira FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Pedome FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Pedome FC.
