The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Manuel Silva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Miguel Nunes couldn't finish the play. Inacios FC's Miguel Nunes got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alexandre Leal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Brito in the 23rd minute of the match. Emílio Pinheiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Alexandre Leal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Emílio Pinheiro made a kick off. João Brito who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 60thth minute tested the skills of Alexandre Leal when he managed to save the team from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by António Amaro in the 62nd minute of play forced SC Vala's goalkeeper José Ferreira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nuno Anjos charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nuno Anjos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to SC Vala getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Nuno Anjos hit a great ball. José Ferreira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from António Amaro, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Miguel Nunes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. João Brito kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. 82 minutes into the match, SC Vala's goal looked a bit too open when Miguel Nunes came free, but José Ferreira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
