The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vasco Araújo helped the player get up and apologised. In the 9th minute Lúcio Pinheiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardo Morais saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 12 minutes of play, Penso's Miguel Correia made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ricardo Morais was left in no man's land by his defense there! Lúcio Pinheiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricardo Morais having to interfere. Miguel Correia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Ricardo Morais tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Fábio Soares came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the SC Pampilhido fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fábio Soares couldn't finish the play. Fábio Soares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abel Neves having to interfere. The supporters of Penso booed when SC Pampilhido was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sebastião Queirós didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fábio Soares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Abel Neves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ricardo Morais showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miguel Correia in the 43rd minute of the match. In the 43rd minute, Augusto Leão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Penso were awarded a corner in the 46th minute after SC Pampilhido's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Diamantino Sousa took the corner. Diamantino Sousa made a great header on Penso's corner, it was just that SC Pampilhido's Ricardo Morais managed to reach the ball for a save. The SC Pampilhido players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Penso were winning 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Miguel Correia was the one to do the kick off. In the 55th minute, Fábio Soares got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lúcio Pinheiro struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Ricardo Morais didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Penso. Daniel Matias hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Miguel Correia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 68th match minute, Penso was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Basílio Oliveira to maneuver through the defense. Ricardo Morais took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miguel Correia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Penso's Miguel Correia got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bento Sousa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Abel Neves having to make a save. If Bento Sousa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Abel Neves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fábio Soares in the 96th minute of the match. Abel Neves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bento Sousa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The SC Pampilhido supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Penso's performance. The match ended with a win for Penso.
