Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Américo Viana made the kick off which started today's match. Eduardo Ramos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulo Resende in the 3rd minute of play. 4 minutes into the game, Vítor Pacheco was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bandeiras's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Forneas the free kick. After 4 played minutes Bandeiras got a freekick which was hit by Vítor Pacheco. Paulo Resende struck a weak shot in the 5th minute. Eduardo Ramos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Forneas. After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Fábio Carvalho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bandeiras's supporters rose to their feet, but Fábio Carvalho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. António Moniz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Forneas's António Moniz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fábio Carvalho in the 12th minute of play. In the 23rd minute of the match, Inácio Gaspar got a very nice opportunity to score, but Eduardo Ramos was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After a defensive mix-up in Forneas's zone, Américo Viana stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. António Moniz came out of the goal and Américo Viana tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 28 minutes into the match, Bandeiras's goalkeeper Eduardo Ramos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Inácio Gaspar. The supporters of Forneas booed when Bandeiras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulo Leiria didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Paulo Resende in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eduardo Ramos saved Bandeiras from getting behind. After 31 played minutes Bandeiras got a freekick which was hit by Vítor Pacheco. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulo Resende in the 33rd minute of play forced Bandeiras's goalkeeper Eduardo Ramos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Américo Viana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Forneas's António Moniz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fábio Carvalho in the 38th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 40 minutes, Fábio Carvalho put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of António Moniz. In the 44th minute of the match, Mário Bessa got a very nice opportunity to score, but Eduardo Ramos was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Eduardo Ramos made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Inácio Gaspar sent off a good shot on target.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Paulo Resende made a kick off. The supporters of Bandeiras booed when Forneas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mário Bessa didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Américo Viana kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving António Moniz. That made the score 0-2 in the 65 minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Paulo Resende in the 85th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eduardo Ramos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Paulo Resende received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Eduardo Ramos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. António Moniz was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Américo Viana showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 91 minute of play. Américo Viana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Forneas supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Bandeiras's performance. The match ended with a win for Bandeiras.
