Ricardo Castro's late challenge caught a Azinhaga's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ricardo Castro helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Pontinhas FC's Ricardo Castro got a free kick in the 2nd minute. Pontinhas FC's António Coimbra proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to save Pontinhas FC from getting a goal against them. António Coimbra made a fantastic save in the 5th minute, when Filipe Aguiar sent off a good shot on target. After 6 minutes, Fernando Gonçalves mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pontinhas FC and the Azinhaga players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 6 played minutes Pontinhas FC got a freekick which was hit by Fernando Gonçalves. 7 minutes into the game, Lourenço Aleixo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Azinhaga's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pontinhas FC the free kick. In the 7th match minute, Azinhaga was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lourenço Aleixo to maneuver through the defense. In the 9th minute, Ricardo Castro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Filipe Aguiar in the 12thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. The Pontinhas FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
