When Francisco Esteves came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Pomarinho FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Francisco Esteves couldn't finish the play. If Rogério Andrade had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Francisco Esteves managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pomarinho FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Francisco Esteves was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. José Delgado breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 16 played minutes Pomarinho FC got a freekick which was hit by Alfredo Figueiredo. Nuno Barbosa struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. António Garcia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. The Pomarinho FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that António Garcia should have stopped the shot. Pomarinho FC's Francisco Esteves got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
