Torrego FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Afonso Simões fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fábio Simões having to interfere. Montenegrelo's goalkeeper couldn't reach when David Porto 37 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-1. Luís Anjos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Miguel Ferreira's shot from short distance in the 45th minute. David Porto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Fábio Simões tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Marco Domingues was the one to do the kick off. With an all-out effort, Montenegrelo's Luís Anjos threw himself towards the right post 52 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Marco Domingues, which otherwise would have been placed in the net.
