Lúcio Oliveira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luís Torres in the 2nd minute of the match. SC Furnazinhas's Emílio Leão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emanuel Marques in the 5th minute of play. Afonso Miranda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Emanuel Marques struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Emílio Leão didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Viuveiro. A collision led to Viuveiro getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Eusébio Correia hit a great ball. After 37 minutes of play, Viuveiro's Carlos Pedroso made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Emílio Leão was left in no man's land by his defense there! Emílio Leão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Afonso Miranda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 47th minute, Carlos Pedroso ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Emílio Leão was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jacinto Figueiredo to make the kick off. In the 59th minute, Carlos Pedroso reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Emílio Leão. The goal made the score 0-3. Emílio Leão made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Afonso Miranda sent off a good shot on target. Viuveiro's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Matos in the 67th minute. Viuveiro's Daniel Matos was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Emílio Leão in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luís Torres in the 71st minute of play forced Viuveiro's goalkeeper Lúcio Oliveira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 75th minute, Luís Torres left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SC Furnazinhas fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. Lúcio Oliveira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacinto Figueiredo in the 79th minute of play. Emílio Leão made an important save on a dangerous shot by Afonso Miranda in the 84th minute. Carlos Pedroso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emílio Leão having to interfere. 88 minutes into the match, Afonso Miranda notched a goal, 1-4, to the right of SC Furnazinhas's Emílio Leão. Emílio Leão was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Afonso Miranda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emílio Leão having to interfere. The Viuveiro players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
