Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Filipe Borba made the kick off which started today's match. After a rather tough play, Reguengos FC's Rui Garcia got a free kick in the 5th minute. After 8 played minutes Verim got a freekick which was hit by Óscar Miranda. If Filipe Borba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jorge Brás in the 10th minute of play forced Reguengos FC's goalkeeper Alexandre Queirós to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 10 minutes into the game, Jorge Brás cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Alexandre Queirós was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 22 played minutes Reguengos FC got a freekick which was hit by Armindo Branco. Jorge Brás could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Alexandre Queirós made a huge save. In the 25th match minute, Reguengos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rui Garcia to maneuver through the defense. With an all-out effort, Verim's Alexandre Queirós threw himself towards the right post 31 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Filipe Borba, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Filipe Borba received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Alexandre Queirós tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Reguengos FC's Alexandre Queirós played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Filipe Borba in the 44th minute of play. In the 45th minute, João Leão got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The wind increased when Armindo Branco made the kick off in the second half. With 51 minutes on the clock, Francisco Garcia commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 51 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Reguengos FC! 59 minutes into the game, Nuno Machado was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Verim's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Reguengos FC the free kick. After 59 played minutes Verim got a freekick which was hit by Nuno Machado. Alexandre Queirós took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Filipe Borba, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Verim's zone, João Leão stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Simão Neves came out of the goal and João Leão tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Verim's Filipe Borba in the 74th minute got a chance for a shot 74th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Reguengos FC's goalie prevented a goal. Artur Mendes kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. In the 77th minute of the match Verim got a corner. Reguengos FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Amílcar Neves ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Filipe Borba got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. Result 3-0. 78 minutes into the match. Filipe Borba fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexandre Queirós having to interfere. In the 96th minute the ball was on its way in behind Reguengos FC's goalkeeper Alexandre Queirós, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Verim's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
