An unexpectedly hard shot by Joaquim Coimbra in the 9th minute of play forced Lagoaca's goalkeeper Marco Carneiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Lagoaca getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Nuno Luz hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Lagoaca's Filipe Maia got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Inácio Martins made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adolfo Guerreiro in the 28th minute of play. Joaquim Coimbra struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Marco Carneiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Boalhosa. Adolfo Guerreiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Inácio Martins tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. David Melo in the 42ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Marco Carneiro, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 43 minutes into the match, SC Boalhosa's Joaquim Coimbra sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marco Carneiro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 45th minute of the match, Joaquim Coimbra tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Marco Carneiro saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Adolfo Guerreiro to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Daniel Amaro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. SC Boalhosa's David Melo got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match clock showed 61 minutes, the score became 2-0 when David Melo sped through Lagoaca's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Marco Carneiro. In the 65th minute, SC Boalhosa's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Filipe Maia fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 67th minute Joaquim Coimbra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco Carneiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Adolfo Guerreiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lagoaca's supporters rose to their feet, but Adolfo Guerreiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Inácio Martins breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Filipe Maia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Adolfo Guerreiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lagoaca's Filipe Maia got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Filipe Maia could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 97th minute of the match, but Inácio Martins made a huge save. Lagoaca's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
