Álvaro Valente kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Odeleite FC's Simão Veiga got a free kick in the 10th minute. Gabriel Pinto hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Tiago Leite received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. José Moutinho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luís Ramos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. José Barros kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. 23 minutes into the match, Ariero FC's goal looked a bit too open when Lúcio Santarém came free, but Filipe Ferreira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luís Ramos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Odeleite FC booed when Ariero FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luís Ramos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Filipe Ferreira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lúcio Santarém in the 35th minute of the match. If Lúcio Santarém had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Luís Ramos was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute, one of Odeleite FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Odeleite FC. If Tiago Leite had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Carlos Matos fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ariero FC's protests and gave Carlos Matos a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Ariero FC's Carlos Matos got a free kick in the 64th minute. After 65 minutes of play Ariero FC's Carlos Matos was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 66th match minute, Ariero FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Matos to maneuver through the defense. If Álvaro Valente had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Odeleite FC's Lúcio Santarém got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 75 minutes of play, Ariero FC's Tiago Leite made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. José Moutinho was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 79 minutes, Abel Sousa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ariero FC and the Odeleite FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Ariero FC getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Abel Sousa hit a great ball. With an all-out effort, Odeleite FC's Filipe Ferreira threw himself towards the right post 81 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Lúcio Santarém, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Lúcio Santarém took the ball and in the 81 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Filipe Ferreira. Filipe Ferreira dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Marco Leite fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filipe Ferreira having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abel Sousa in the 93rd minute of play forced Odeleite FC's goalkeeper José Moutinho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. José Moutinho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tiago Leite in the 95th minute of play. Ariero FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
