Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) After a defensive mix-up in Andrezes's zone, José Ramos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lúcio Carneiro came out of the goal and José Ramos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Andrezes getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Joaquim Rocha hit a great ball. José Ramos kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Vasco Mota received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Rui Pedroso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jaime Guarda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lúcio Carneiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulo Pinho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers José Ramos in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lúcio Carneiro saved Andrezes from getting behind. José Ramos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Lúcio Carneiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Armando Baptista in the 44th minute of play. After having played for 46 minutes, Jaime Guarda managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Andrezes's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jaime Guarda was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 47th minute, Armando Baptista hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as Vasco Mota kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Rui Pedroso. That made the score 1-0 in the 48 minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell José Ramos to make the kick off. In the 61st minute José Ramos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lúcio Carneiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Paulo Pinho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lúcio Carneiro having to interfere. After some careless play in the Andrezes defense, Armando Baptista kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lúcio Carneiro. The Andrezes fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lúcio Carneiro should have stopped the shot. After 72 played minutes Andrezes got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Fernandes. When Hugo Aguiar came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Sabadim FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hugo Aguiar couldn't finish the play. Jorge Machado charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jorge Machado the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 76 played minutes Andrezes got a freekick which was hit by Jorge Machado. José Ramos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jorge Machado didn't quite understand what happened when in the 81 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. If José Ramos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Andrezes's Vasco Mota got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vasco Mota in the 89th minute of play forced Sabadim FC's goalkeeper Rui Pedroso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Despite being the better team, Sabadim FC failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
