Manuel Andrade sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Oliveira Lopes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Artur Amorim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Filipe Correia charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Filipe Correia the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 10 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Verba FC! Artur Amorim made an important save on a dangerous shot by Manuel Andrade in the 25th minute. 26 minutes into the match, Oliveira Lopes dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Artur Amorim, 1-2. Paulo Moreira kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Rui Moutinho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abel Viana having to interfere. Sandro Mendes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abel Viana having to interfere. With a little luck, Sidros's Artur Amorim got control of the ball when Manuel Andrade tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rui Moutinho to make the kick off. Abel Viana stood somewhat misplaced when Sandro Mendes came free in front of goal and shot 1-3 to the left of him in the 55 minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Manuel Andrade in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Artur Amorim prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The crowd rose to their feet as Rui Moutinho kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Abel Viana. That made the score 1-4 in the 70 minute of play. Sandro Mendes might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Abel Viana. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sandro Mendes ran back to his position shaking his head. Oliveira Lopes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Artur Amorim having to make a save. Artur Amorim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oliveira Lopes in the 85th minute of the match. Oliveira Lopes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Artur Amorim read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. In the 92nd minute Rui Moutinho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abel Viana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Sidros had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
