Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Gil Porto got the match started through his kick off. The supporters of Tangil FC booed when Verba FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Catarino Carneiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. 6 minutes had been played when some careless play by Verba FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Joel Moura was slow to take the kick. During this time Tangil FC's players had a chance to rest. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rodrigo Valente during the 6th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Tangil FC getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Rodrigo Valente hit a great ball. Manuel Andrade's late challenge caught a Tangil FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Manuel Andrade helped the player get up and apologised. After 10 played minutes Verba FC got a freekick which was hit by Manuel Andrade. When Oliveira Lopes came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Verba FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Oliveira Lopes couldn't finish the play. If Manuel Andrade had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tangil FC's goalkeeper Rui Garcia, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 17 played minutes Tangil FC got a freekick which was hit by Fábio Sá. If Oliveira Lopes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Abel Viana showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Aguiar, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Abel Viana stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gil Porto's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. Carlos Aguiar blasted a shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Abel Viana having to make a save. Oliveira Lopes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rui Garcia having to interfere. After some careless play in the Verba FC defense, Carlos Aguiar kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Abel Viana. The Verba FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Abel Viana should have stopped the shot. Manuel Andrade sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 65 minutes of play Tangil FC's Fábio Sá was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Fábio Sá hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manuel Andrade in the 66th minute of play forced Tangil FC's goalkeeper Rui Garcia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 68th minute, Paulo Mota hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 73 minutes, Carlos Aguiar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tangil FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carlos Aguiar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ricardo Assunção sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Oliveira Lopes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Rui Garcia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Carlos Aguiar who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 85thth minute tested the skills of Abel Viana when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Carlos Aguiar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Abel Viana read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Tangil FC's zone, Manuel Andrade stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rui Garcia came out of the goal and Manuel Andrade tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 93rdth minute of the game Manuel Andrade who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tangil FC's Rui Garcia was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 95th minute, Manuel Andrade got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 96th match minute, Tangil FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gil Porto to maneuver through the defense. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
