Paulo Fontes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vicente Leiria having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Catarino Rodrigues in the 9th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vasco Monteiro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Paulo Fontes was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 11th minute. Martinzes FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Miguel Nunes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Vicente Leiria having to make a save. In the 15th minute, Amadeu Cabral hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vasco Monteiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedro Leal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vicente Leiria made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Paulo Fontes sent off a good shot on target. Catarino Rodrigues kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Vicente Leiria made an important save on a dangerous shot by Paulo Fontes in the 24th minute. In the 25th minute Miguel Nunes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vicente Leiria saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vicente Leiria made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Paulo Fontes sent off a good shot on target. In the 29th minute, Amadeu Cabral hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Paulo Fontes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The nice shot from Paulo Fontes in the 31stth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Vicente Leiria had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. Pedro Leal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pedro Leal struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Vasco Monteiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Arguedeira FC. Paulo Fontes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pedro Leal was the one to do the kick off. Miguel Nunes might have been able to make a better finish in the 54th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vicente Leiria. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Miguel Nunes ran back to his position shaking his head. When Arguedeira FC's Pedro Leal in the 60th minute got a chance for a shot 60th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Martinzes FC's goalie prevented a goal. The supporters of Arguedeira FC booed when Martinzes FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Miguel Nunes didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Catarino Rodrigues came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Arguedeira FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Catarino Rodrigues couldn't finish the play. In the 70th minute Paulo Fontes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vicente Leiria saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Catarino Rodrigues had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 80 played minutes Martinzes FC got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Pires. 88 minutes into the match, Arguedeira FC's goal looked a bit too open when Miguel Nunes came free, but Vicente Leiria reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 89 minutes into the match, Arguedeira FC's goal looked a bit too open when Paulo Fontes came free, but Vicente Leiria reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
