Arguedeira FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pedro Leal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Seixos's Adelino Assis in the 18th minute got a chance for a shot 18th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The supporters of Seixos booed when Arguedeira FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedro Leal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Amadeu Cabral kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. A hard and well directed shot from Viriato Gueifão led 41 minutes into the game to a goal after the ball had bounced deceptively just in front of the goal. Arguedeira FC's Vicente Leiria became a little unsure and couldn't grip the ball before it was over the goalline. Thus it was 0-2. If Rogério Faria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rogério Faria to strike the kick off in the second half. Arguedeira FC's Vicente Leiria played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rogério Faria in the 52nd minute of play. Jorge Brito's late challenge caught a Arguedeira FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jorge Brito helped the player get up and apologised. After 56 played minutes Seixos got a freekick which was hit by Jorge Brito. Rogério Faria fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vicente Leiria having to interfere. Pedro Guerreiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Leal in the 82nd minute of the match. Vicente Leiria took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rogério Faria, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 92nd minute, Arguedeira FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Adelino Campos fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Catarino Rodrigues sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pedro Guerreiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Catarino Rodrigues in the 96th minute of play.
