Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Aguia's Vítor Cruz started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a defensive mix-up in SC Vencemal's zone, Raul Barros stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Viriato Costa came out of the goal and Raul Barros tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of SC Vencemal booed when Aguia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mário Almeida didn't get a good kick on the ball. Raul Barros struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Viriato Costa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Aguia. Vítor Cruz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Viriato Costa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 29 minutes, Óscar Trindade mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Aguia and the SC Vencemal players grew even worse after the yellow card. 28 minutes into the game, one of Aguia:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 30th minute there was a penalty for SC Vencemal. Sandro Vieira stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Alberto Vieira. 0-1. Nuno Bessa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sandro Vieira during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to SC Vencemal getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Sandro Vieira hit a great ball. A hard shot by Óscar Trindade from long distance, 41 minutes into the match, got Viriato Costa's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. After 42 played minutes SC Vencemal got a freekick which was hit by Afonso Borba. In the 45th minute of the match Aguia got a corner. SC Vencemal's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Óscar Trindade ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Óscar Trindade almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but SC Vencemal's Viriato Costa did a great save. After the first half SC Vencemal were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rui Santos to make the kick off. Vítor Cruz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Viriato Costa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 51st minute of play. During the 55th minute of the match Mário Almeida completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Mário Almeida a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Mário Almeida hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. If Nuno Bessa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Rui Santos managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Vencemal's supporters rose to their feet, but Rui Santos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alberto Vieira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alberto Vieira made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nuno Bessa in the 63rd minute. 66 minutes into the match, Aguia's goal looked a bit too open when Rui Santos came free, but Alberto Vieira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Raul Barros blasted a shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Viriato Costa having to make a save. Aguia's Eduardo Marques got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, SC Vencemal's Cristiano Amorim got a free kick in the 70th minute. In the 74th minute Rui Santos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alberto Vieira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alberto Vieira didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 83rd minute, which inside left pole to 0-2. With a little luck, Aguia's Alberto Vieira got control of the ball when Nuno Bessa tried to sneak it across the goal line. Raul Barros took the ball and in the 91 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Viriato Costa. Viriato Costa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Rui Santos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The SC Vencemal supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing SC Vencemal would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
